I’m starting to buy stuff for the boat so I’m primed and ready when it comes. You’d think a new Boston Whaler would come with an anchor, but it doesn’t. After not quite finding what I needed at Harbor Marine in Everett, I went to Fisheries Supply in Seattle. There a guy helped me pick out the anchor, chain, and rode that was best for my boat. He then built a complete assembly for me while I watched. I was very impressed with their service. I got an 8 lb. Danforth, coated with vinyl to protect the fiberglass on my Whaler. Let’s see how it holds up to being dragged across the sea floor a few times. I love that there’s an infinite amount of stuff to learn about boating. It will satisfy my thirst for knowledge for a long time.
